Our Assembelly
Talofa Lava bloggers,
Here is some of my writing that my class and I had to do about our awsome assembelly, and just incase yous guys are just wondering why is my text green and orange. It is because our teacher said that if it is Tuesday then you have to write in green but if it is Wedesday then we have to write in orange.
Talofa lava blog world,
Today I will be talking to you about my awesome assembly and how it went. On Thursday 9th of August 2018 we went to the hall to do our assembly or to share some of our learning. It was a fabulous assembly mosty about our learning. By learning I mean about our blogging, Cook islands artwork, and many more but the most cool subject that I thought was the best was how some people got the chance to blog about anything they wanted that was on the kiwi kids news or a news article.
So Mandita was talking about her fabulous holiday with her friends and how they went out with Mandela's mum. She was very excited for that day when her friends came to her house so they could have a playdate together. I’m not sure what a play date is but i’m guessing it is like a sleep over but for girls they call it play date but for boys we call it sleep over.
My best friend Simon I liked his one the most because he found an article about a dog that can do C.P.R and that could check someone's pulse. Thanks to him I finally know what C.P.R stands for, it stands for Cardiopulmonary and rescuecatition. Simon made me think that other animals in the world could actually save other peoples lives if we train them to.
Then it was Rhia and Gloria that presented their blog to us about their bad habits and how it could affect their bodys. First it was Rhia and she was talking about biting your nails and how it is unhygienic for you and your body. She was also saying that bad habits are very hard to quit and that everyone has at least one bad habit. Next it was Gloria and she was basically saying the same thing like Rhia on her blog and how it is bad for you.
Next up was Ina and she was talking to us about how it was Cook Island Language week and a place in the Cook Islands called the Daragosa Beach. I guarantee that when you see this beach you will love it because the water is very clean compared to New Zealand’s ones. Even looking at it on you phone, chromebook or whatever it is still beautiful whether you are there or not. What I also like about Daragosa Beach was how Ina said that there is a story about the beach.
After that it was my buddy Patrick and he was sharing his awesome work about his activity on his Youtube recommendation and how we should watch meaningful videos that could teach us something or videos that could answer your questions. He was also talking about how when we watch videos it is a waste of time because you won’t learn from it. This reminds me of my mum because she always says that ‘’playing games won’t teach you anything but if you go outside you will learn many more’’. His activity was to watch a video from Sky show kids and he was explaining to the whole school how we can get goosebumps.
There were other things too but I think that was the one that got me surprised. Then there was Mose and Zion but sadly Zion couldn’t make it to our assembly so we had to skip his part. They both did the same article about a very sick turtle. The first time I saw the video about it the Auckland zoo hospital saw it with moss , and barnacles on its back or shell. It made me very sad and emotional because the next day after when they cleaned the turtle they said that it died. Mose was also explaining how we all in the world should make sure that our environment is clean and to make sure that we pick up our rubbish or other people’s rubbish.
Finally we come to the end of our great assembly, thank you for reading my work and I hope you have learned something from my blog post! BLOG YOU LATER!!!

Talofa Lava,
Welcome back to my blog and today I will be shareing some of my awsome Te Reo Maori work. I have learned alot about speaking in Maori but I really want to learn more because for me speaking another lauguge is very cool and awsome. We were learnng how to say in Maori what subject we liked in school and how to ask someone what is there favourite subject. Then we had a challenge to try to say two of your favourite subjects in the same sentence in Maori. Here is one of the sentences I worked on with my buddy Simon, here is our video too.
