Athetics zone

Talofa lava blog world,

Yesterday was an amazing day! We (Hay Park School Athetics Team) had a lot of fun attending the athletics zone and competeing with the hardest teams like Waikowhai Primary School. It was so fun because on my 75m eleven year old sprints I came third place!

On top of that, on my 100m eleven year old sprints I came third again! Everyone was really hard to try to beat but we all gave it our best in everything. The hardest thing or chellenge that I went through was high jump! Like waaahhhhttt?! Out of all of the obsticals I struggled with high jump? But yeah I'm shocked at what happened at the zones but also happy because I made it in.

At the zones I also saw alot of friends from the past that came to my school. What I think I need to improve on is to practice jumping for high jumps or do somemore squats.

thank you for reading my work I hope you comment on my blog about what was your hardest chellenge you did in athletics. Here is a little photo

Our Work Out

Talofa lava bloggers,
I am going to show you some highlights of term four and other things like our class workout. In my first video we have my awesome class ( Parekowhi ) practiceing our leg raises and more. The reason why we did this is because our teacher ( Miss Berry ) wants us to be fit and I think that she is the fittest teacher out of our school. The exercises that we did for the past few weeks was very fun and to be honest they helped be alot, Like the sqwuts that we do helped me get into the high jump for athletics zone and more. This video is one of the work outs that we did this yesterday!

Author Presentation ( 150 words )

Hola Blog world,
We or I will be talking to you about our phenomenal author presentation we did yesterday with our awesome teacher ( Miss Berry ). Our task was to pick an author and share some information about the author. In my fabulous group we had Andrew, Mekilini, Marwah, Brooklyn, and me. In my opinion I thought that we were the third best group but to everyone else we were the fifth best group. But our avarage score was nineteen out of twenty five. Yes it was really sad but our group did give up so we started to think about how to improve. I think how we can improve is to remember our scripts or parts to say off by heart and to speak louder. But at the end of the day I think that our groups presentation was great and was interesting. Thank you for reading my blog post and if you want you could rate our group from one to twenty five.

What's in the news this week?

Talofa Lava Bloggers,
I am so proud of my City ( Auckland ) with the catch up from Auckland 7 to Canterberry 20 in the first half. It was like Auckland was getting frashed but then I think alttle bit of inspration by their coach they turned into beast mode. It was also like the coach put some super water into their water bottles to make them catch up.

In this text I recond that there were no intresting facts because it was just all about a sport and about something that we should celebrate.

it is the first time that Auckland won a title ever since 2007. The word I came past that was dificult to understand was regulation, I lookedit up in the dictunary and it means an arrangement or a management.

Worth reading? It was worth reading because representing my city that I have been raised in won a title a second time is amazing and pluse they have beaten a hard rugby team.Image result for auckland holding the cup 2018 union

The Challenge

Talofa Lava blog world,
Today my goal is to explain what is happening in this picture or photo and to have 150 words.
Yesterday my class got to go to this truck to meet Harold ( The Giraffe ).
One of the tasks in the truck was to try to explain who did the shoes belong to,
and how old was the owner.
It turns out that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover or something by its cover.
One of our pictures that we got was a pair of ripped shoes with a man wearing them.
We thought that the man was poor and that he was a outside man that liked to clean.
But it turned out to be a famous guy that used his shoes as inspiration.
Ever since he came famous that was his first shoes that he bought with his pay.
It made him think about never giving up.

Breaking News!

Good morning blog world.

A terrifying SUPER SNAKE has been discovered and that is breeding in America!
And other snakes are spreading around the world and they are huge.
Huge Burmese - Indian python snakes are swarming around wetlands,
and forests in a number recorded.
The new species of snakes is also capable of  climbing trees and slithering through swamps.
Scientists that have been researching about snakes in America has discovered an Indian python,
and an Burmese python that have been interbreeding ( making babies ) for the last 40 years. Wow me thinking that they have been making new species of snakes.

The Burmese snake is one of the largest snakes in the world and that could reach up to 20 ft in length. That is so amazing and cool because it is also large and they can eat pigs, goats, and crocodile. What would you do if you saw a big snake.

Thank you for reading my blog post.

Tongan Languge Week!

Malo Lele Blog World,
I am so excited to be talking or should I say representing my country T.O.N.G.A the country that I love the most. Two days ago me and my class ( Parekowhi ) were foccusing on Tonga and we listened to Miss Berry read to us a book about how Tonga got their fire. It was a very intresting story about how Tonga got their fire but it was also very funny watching Miss Berry try to pronouce the Tongan words. We had options to do about the story like one of them was how we a to make a digital poster about what we had learned. Here is a cool poster that I made over the past few days

Where The Wild Things Are

Malo Lele blog world,
As you know it is Tongan Lauge week and to be a Tongan I am proud of myself and my work. We had an option of any wild thing and the one that I choose was the wild thing that is half eagal and chicken. Here is my description of the wild thing.

A Wild Thing is a unknown creature but some people say that they might be a hybrid from another planet or another world. There are four of them or should I say Wild Things but the main Wild Thing that I will be talking to you about is the half eagle and half chicken. Its beak is so massive it looks a Elephant’s trunk that is thick. The beak is also light orange that has a curve at the end looking like a human's hand holding water. His tail or feathers behind his bum is pointy and it looks very sharp it also looks white. Nobody knows where it came from but they say that it is the descendants of the chickens and eagles. It’s thighs looks nice, fried,  basically like chicken wings straight from the oven. His eyes, oh his eye look like a sign of danger that will happen to you in the future.

Here is a photo if you couldn't imange it in your head.

We had to write our street and some things in our street like our windows, fences, and houses. Here is my work that I feel good about that I just did now. In my street there are brick houses, old houses, rich houses, and poor houses. Spikey fences, wiggiley fences, silky roofs, stable roofs white sliding windows with a handle.

Our Assembelly

Talofa Lava bloggers,
Here is some of my writing that my class and I had to do about our awsome assembelly, and just incase yous guys are just wondering why is my text green and orange. It is because our teacher said that if it is Tuesday then you have to write in green but if it is Wedesday then we have to write in orange.

Talofa lava blog world,
Today I will be talking to you about my awesome assembly and how it went.  On Thursday 9th of August 2018 we went to the hall to do our assembly or to share some of our learning. It was a fabulous assembly mosty about our learning. By learning I mean about our blogging, Cook islands artwork, and many more but the most cool subject that I thought was the best was how some people got the chance to blog about anything they wanted that was on the kiwi kids news or a news article.

So Mandita was talking about her fabulous holiday with her friends and how they went out with Mandela's mum. She was very excited for that day when her friends came to her house so they could have a playdate together. I’m not sure what a play date is but i’m guessing it is like a sleep over but for girls they call it play date but for boys we call it sleep over.

My best friend Simon I liked his one the most because he found an article about a dog that can do C.P.R and that could check someone's pulse. Thanks to him I finally know what C.P.R stands for, it stands for Cardiopulmonary and rescuecatition. Simon made me think that other animals in the world could actually save other peoples lives if we train them to.

Then it was Rhia and Gloria that presented their blog to us about their bad habits and how it could affect their bodys. First it was Rhia and she was talking about biting your nails and how it is unhygienic for you and your body. She was also saying that bad habits are very hard to quit and that everyone has at least one bad habit. Next it was Gloria and she was basically saying the same thing like Rhia on her blog and how it is bad for you.

Next up was Ina and she was talking to us about how it was Cook Island Language week and a place in the Cook Islands called the Daragosa Beach. I guarantee that when you see this beach you will love it because the water is very clean compared to New Zealand’s ones. Even looking at it on you phone, chromebook or whatever it is still beautiful whether you are there or not. What I also like about Daragosa Beach was how Ina said that there is a story about the beach.

After that it was my buddy Patrick and he was sharing his awesome work about his activity on his Youtube recommendation and how we should watch meaningful videos that could teach us something or videos that could answer your questions. He was also talking about how when we watch videos it is a waste of time because you won’t learn from it. This reminds me of my mum because she always says that ‘’playing games won’t teach you anything but if you go outside you will learn many more’’. His activity was to watch a video from Sky show kids and he was explaining to the whole school how we can get goosebumps.

There were other things too but I think that was the one that got me surprised. Then there was Mose and Zion but sadly Zion couldn’t make it to our assembly so we had to skip his part. They both did the same article about a very sick turtle. The first time I saw the video about it the Auckland zoo hospital saw it with moss , and barnacles on its back or shell. It made me very sad and emotional because the next day after when they cleaned the turtle they said that it died. Mose was also explaining how we all in the world should make sure that our environment is clean and to make sure that we pick up our rubbish or other people’s rubbish.

Finally we come to the end of our great assembly, thank you for reading my work and I hope you have learned something from my blog post! BLOG YOU LATER!!!

We were learnng how to say in Maori what subject we liked in school and how to ask someone what is there favourite subject. Then we had a challenge to try to say two of your favourite subjects in the same sentence in Maori. Here is one of the sentences I worked on with my buddy Simon, here is our video too.

Bad habits

Hello Bloggers,
My name is Nathaniel and I am here to talk to you about my bad habits and other bad habits. There are so many bad habits that I have and that you have too.  Everybody around the world has at least one or more bad habits . For an example some people might pick their nose and put their finger in their mouths or play games like Fortnite for too long. Some of my bad habits are playing games, and many more but my worst one is staying up. Staying up is bad for me because it could make your eyes sore and red, it could also make you very exhausted, lazy, weak, and little bit angry.

When I sleep, I sleep because I stay up too late and when I say too late it means around 5;00 or 4;00 in the morning during the holidays. Sometimes I stay up until 3;00 or something like that because my aunty comes back from the airport around 3;30 and then she checks in the rooms to see if everyone's asleep but if she sees me she growls me off for staying up, but often she just lets me be.

When I’m bored I play games (Fortnite) because it is fun and in pluse everyone plays with you online world wide! But what really makes me stay up is either playing games or drinking tea. * At home I am known as the one that does not sleep, I am so bad at trying to control this habit because I can get easily distracted. At home when I can't play games I just play with my soccer ball inside the house because something inside me just doesn’t want to sleep. I find it so hard to sleep, the only way I could sleep is when the house is quiet but in my house everyone is up and the house is loud. I am finding this habit very hard to stop, are there any ways I can stop this habit?

If you have any tips please comment down below, Thank you for reading my blog post see you later!

Last day of the term!!!!

Talofa Lava,
This has been the best term in my life because I had so much fun spending time with my friends playing soccer, rugby, touch and many more. We also had fun going to the rippa rugby and rugby zones versing St Therese School. It was also very cool because the Auckland Rugby Club made us work together and that was very intresting and exciting. It was also cool during the term when I got chosen to be one of the student councilors for my school. But as we all know it is the last day of term 1, I can't wait for the next term because if this term is the best term of my life, Surely there will be another best term. I am also going to miss my friends during the holidays but I could still play fortnite with some of my friends, But as usaul I will still have to be doing some homework or read five chaper books.

Thankyou for reading my blog post I ho[pe you have a safe holiday!!!!

Family 2018

Malo Lele,

My name is Nathaniel and meet my Family!!

These are the people that I love the most in the world because they looked after me for two years while my mum was over seas and provited all of my school eqwipement and earthly things, like clothes, shoes, and other things. They are very supporteve and they love sports because it runs through their veins. The person with the hat his name is Thomas and he is the oldest out of everyone and the one that everyone lookes up to. They all played rugby and played for the same school named Mt Roskill Grammer School. But frangkly we had to move to Mt Albert so that means that me and the girl wearing pink ( Mary )  has to go to Mt Albert Grammer School. I think that Family is what brings us together and makes life better.

Thank you for reading my blog about my family, if you have any quistions please give a comment.
Bye!!!!
